Thank you to everyone, from the students to the parents, to the staff, for working together to make this unprecedented opening of school occur. After each of these first days of school, the administrative team meets to debrief. We will be making some adjustments in the upcoming days. However, I do want to stress the following:
Any time a student or parent comes on the school grounds, it is imperative that a mask is worn. Wearing a mask is one of the most significant ways of mitigating COVID-19. If you do not have a mask on, an administrator will not conduct the health screening.
There was a question about dismissal. Dismissal has not changed regarding students walking home or riding their bikes home. If students have parental permission to walk or ride their bike home (unaccompanied), this can still occur. It is only during morning drop-off that students must have a parent or someone from the same domicile with them. Please remember, the health screening is a temperature check and review of the symptom criteria with each child’s parent. We have opened up our PALS program at 6:15 am for any parents who cannot accompany their child to school (or the bus stop) because of work commitments.
The link below will provide you with a form to complete if you need assistance with your child’s iPad, OnCourse, Zoom, or Google (Google Classroom, email accounts, etc.).
