Hello Berlin Community School Stakeholders,

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Jeremy Cohen. I grew up in the next town over in Atco, where I attended Edgewood High School before being the first graduating class from the new Hammonton High School. Currently, my wife, Amanda, and I reside in Berlin with our two children, Zoe, age 7 and Jagger, age 6. Both of our children are elementary students in BCS.

I have many years of experience within the education field that I look to bring to BCS as a board member. I look forward to supporting the amazing staff, students and families of the town here in Berlin Boro. I started my teaching career in 2011, teaching special education. In 2017, I was hired as an administrator at Burlington County Special Services, where I held the Director of Child Study and Related Services position as well as Principal of the Alternative Middle and
High School. In September of 2021, I accepted my current position as the Chief School Administrator in the Maurice River Twp. School District. I hold numerous advanced degrees in education including a Master’s in Special Education, a Master’s in School Leadership and a
Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Innovation.

I also coach intramural and travel soccer within the Berlin Soccer Club.

I look forward to using my understanding of education in the state of New Jersey to support continuous growth for our students and staff at BCS.
